In a food and beverage plant, water is used for everything from the preparation of raw materials to the maintenance of equipment and preparation surfaces and may even be need to be treated as wastewater before leaving the facility.
It is important that any water that comes directly in contact with food and beverage products meet safe drinking water standards. This includes being potable, free of contaminants that affect odor or taste and colorless.
