VARIO Calmagite Hardness Set

Water hardness is a measure of the concentration of dissolved alkaline earth metal ions. These ions form poorly soluble compounds with carbonates, for example, which can lead to deposits in processes and impair efficiency.

The most important hardness formers are calcium and magnesium ions. Generally, both ions are determined together as a sum parameter. Using the Calmagite method, it is possible to determine both ions separately.
