World Water Day for Change

"Acellerating Change": This is the motto of the United Nations World Water Day 2023 on 22 March. Behind this stands Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation for All. It is one of 17 goals around water to be achieved by 2030 - and from which we are all still far away today. 

The facts are staggering: 2.2 billion people lack access to water, 4.2 billion lack access to adequate sanitation. 40% of all schools worldwide have no toilets. 1 in 3 people worldwide cannot wash their hands at home. 700 million people could be forced to leave their homes by 2030 due to lack of water. Demand for water is likely to increase by 55% by 2050. Change is essential. 

That's what World Water Day is trying to kick-start - but more importantly, awareness. Here are a few tools for anyone who wants to actively support change.
