Tintometer Inc. Receives SHARP Award

We worked hard and now we have achieved it: Tintometer Inc. is recognized with the SHARP Award of the U.S. Department of Labor. This award honours the health and safety in the workplace. Only ten other companies are operating in Florida with this recognition. So our staff members can be rightly proud of what they have achieved.

“We are pleased to have our efforts recognised by receiving this award”, describes Stephen Godburn, Director of Operations. “Our team has worked hard to achieve this, and we’re proud of the processes that therefore have been implemented.”

The SHARP Award is dedicated to small business employers who operate an exemplary injury and illness prevention program. In order to receive it, our company participated in the On-Site Consultation Program of OSHA, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration which is part of the United States Department of Labor. This included the demonstration of exemplary safety and health programs as well as on-site visits. It contained an operating conference, a walk through the entire workplace including a written report and development of effective health and safety programs. It helps to protect the workers, improve employee morale and management, increasing of productivity rates and product quality, reducing lost workdays, equipment damage and product losses.

This important award is an achievement of status that among the business peers as a model for worksite safety and health. It does not mean, that we now lean back and relax: “Injury and illness protection have been a top priority within the company and we will make sure our efforts continue”, emphasises Stephen Godburn.
