种类齐全的浸渍液可用于半定量测定工业和娱乐用水中好氧和厌氧菌的数量。由于样本量较小，浸片的准确性有限。然而，如果正确使用，并与Lovibond® 浸渍滑轨孵化器在恒温下进行培养，浸渍滑轨是非常好的趋势分析，并能在早期阶段表明细菌的增殖。
